Hi everyone

Just a bit of advice really. I have just had my third injection of humira and am having terrible acid reflux. I cant bend over at all with it and am having to sleep propped up otherwise it wakes me up. Has any one else had this problem? I am already on 20mg of Omperezole as a stomach protector, and not sure if that dose can be increased.

Any advice welcome.

Louise

Hi Louise

I can't help with acid reflux and Humira except to say that it would seem to be an unlikely cause! Humira (like other injections) bypasses the stomach and is quickly absorbed into the blood stream. I take 20mg of Omeprazole twice daily. Are you also on an anti inflammatory such as Naproxen? That can cause digestive issues.

Hi

I am on Enbrel which is similar to Humira and have had no problems with acid reflux but I too take Lanzaprazole a stomach liner every day.

Hope you manage to get relief soon

Best Wishes

Sue
